Multiple Sites Issue

I am running 3 sites (domains) off of my Win 2K Server and have run in to several issues that I hope someone can help me with. I will detail the way I have things set up and let me know if this is wrong please!

I have my 'main' site in the InetPub folder and both of my other domains are contained in subfolders within that one.

The main problem I have is that I can't access the secondary domains from within my network here directly. That is, if I type 'http://www.secondary_domain.com' into the browser window it will time out but if I type
'http://www.main_domain.com/secondary_domain/default.htm it works fine.

The other thing that is happening is that IIS doesn't appear to be updating the master web (on the server) after I upload changes to it from the local folder (I am using MS InterDev).

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

For the first, I will guess there is a name resolution problem somewhere, possibly you have something in your hosts file that's causing a domain name to resolve differently that from the outside

As for the 2nd, I use InterDev in master mode and changes are updated on the server when I save a file. If you are not in master mode you may need to explicitly release your working copies to get the server updated.

Just guessing ..

I am having the same (second) problem-sort of. I am running one main site and three sub-sites from within that one (WIn2kServer/IIS 5.0). I just put up the third sub-site and I can get at it but it isn't uploading local-to-mater in visual interdev. All others upload in InterDev just fine.

I had this problem before and I just restarted IIS and it fixed it but no luck this time.

Any help would be much appreciated.
