Need help in winxp pro IIS & CGI
I'm not sure if i'm in the right forum, but i'm trying to set my PC up as a web server. I have winXP pro and installed IIS. The services under administration tools show that it is running. I have also installed perl to use to write my cgi scripts. My problem is when I submit a form, the cgi is executed, but the form created from that cgi isn't then displayed in the browser. When I hit the submit button on my form, I see a flash that looks like a dos command session which makes me think that the cgi was executed.
I'm new at setting this stuff up. I'm I totally off base in thinking winxp pro IIS will work as a web server? Is there something I need to do in the perl to get the print statements that create the next HTML form to the browser? I'm using MS internet explorer.
Any help would be very much apperciated.
Thanks,
Linda
