Hi,

I need to install and configure IIS on my machine...please can you recommend any suitable books or web articles which will get me started ?

Many Thanks,

Clarissa

P.S. I'm an experienced programmer (mainly older technologies) so I'm not really looking for a janet and john guide...just the nuts and bolts please....

What version of windows?

IIS is installed by default on NT4 server, W2000 server and W2003 server.

IIS is available for installation on NT4 workstation, W2K Pro, and XP Pro

PWS is available for w9x and with some extra work Me.

XP Home doesn't support any PWS/IIS

Thanks Doug,

I've just hit the first hurdle. I'm only running XP Home so I will have to upgrade my OS before I can start !

Thumbs up You CAN !

Before you hastily upgrade, there is a way to run IIS on XP Home!
