Unhappy New To IIS & ASP
Hai everybody,

I am new to IIS and ASP, i'm using windows 2000 proffessional edition, i installed iis 5.0, when i opened my explorer and said http://localhost, one error has come like "500 Internal server error", then i removed friendly error message option then i got the following error,

"The server has encountered an error while loading an application during the processing of your request. Please refer to the event log for more detail information. Please contact the server administrator for assistance.",

what could be wrong please help me out

You must configure IIS. IP adress in IIS must be 127.0.0.1.

You should not need to change the IP address for a default W2000 installation. "All unassigned" works fine.
