New to IIS, URL rewrite
Hello,
I'm new to IIS coming from Apache. I'm looking for IIS's equivilant method of providing for url rewrite. (.htaccess) i.e., user browses to URL IIS redirects to URL I can do the research, I just noticed that there's no .htacces in IIS and I'm not having any luck finding the equivilant, so if someone can point me in the right direction, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Mike |

There is one isapi add-on called (I think) iisrewrite. It's not free if I remember correctly.

Sure, not to mention how well Apache serves up asp pages. Of course that wouldn't be important at an asp forum ![]() |

Thanks for all the information. I don't know how these tools will work in a shared hosting environment, but I'll look into them.
Thanks much. Mike |

You might ask your host to install iis rewrite. I've sometimes had success with this since it ups the value of the hosting...especially if it's not an extremely expensive install.
