Virtual Directory Setup - Newbie question
Hello all,
I have created a webpage in word and placed the word.htm file in the wwwroot folder. Now i have some links in the page that are pointing to some reports (pdfs). so far the only way i can have users access these reports is by putting the pdf files in the wwwroot folder. is there any way that i can put the pdfs in a shared directory and point the link on the word.doc to that directory that will allow users to pull the pdfs from a shared directory instead of the wwwroot folder in IIS? any help is appreciated. thanks. |

Where are the PDFs located originally? If it's on the same machine as the web server, you can load them from a folder outside of your web root by using a download page.

they are on another storage server. the web server has a drive mapped to it, but the users are not able to access the pdfs in that setup. the storage server has open access. thanks.
