Virtual Directory Setup - Newbie question

Hello all,

I have created a webpage in word and placed the word.htm file in the wwwroot folder. Now i have some links in the page that are pointing to some reports (pdfs). so far the only way i can have users access these reports is by putting the pdf files in the wwwroot folder. is there any way that i can put the pdfs in a shared directory and point the link on the word.doc to that directory that will allow users to pull the pdfs from a shared directory instead of the wwwroot folder in IIS? any help is appreciated. thanks.

Where are the PDFs located originally? If it's on the same machine as the web server, you can load them from a folder outside of your web root by using a download page.
