Not Viewable On Line?! HELP!?

Hello everyone. Im a new poster here, and im new to IIS. i got the basis of most of
the simple stuff down. but im running into one problem...

i can view my pages on my local machine, by typing in my ip address, my computer name,
and the localhost... BUT OTHER PEOPLE CANT VIEW MY PAGE FROM OTHER COMPUTERS..
they are not on my network (the other people) and it says running. i set it up so that the Allow Anonymous
is checked under all my pages.. i thought that is what i should do, i even tried disabling this..

im running IIS 5.1 or something. yes, 5.1.

all my pages are default correctly, and all i have to do is type the IP.. its very odd and im just
curious if anyone can help diagnose my problem. if this is a common starting problem, i hope it is...

my ip address is set correctly in the option, and i can ping myself, and what not.. let me know if you have some
suggestions...

Other people's machines need to know how to get to your machine if they're not on your network. This is going to be especially difficult if you use internal IP addresses (I don't know if you do, just throwing ideas around). Your machine would need a DNS entry on the DNS server for your domain, but if it's not a public network then people still won't be able to connect to you.

Can others ping your IP and machine name. First you may need to test that to make sure that others can see your web server (Your Machine)

5.1 = XP, have you opened port 80 through the XP firewall and any other firewalls? Have you forwarded port 80 through any routers inbetween users and your server?
