Unhappy Please Help : Set Up IIS WinXP-PRO

Hi all,

Can anyone please help me to set up IIS 5.1 so that it any users from the web can access it?

System
Windows XP Pro SP2
IIS 5.1
Prolink Router + ADSL Modem
IP = 10.0.0.6
Dynamic IP

Things I Have Done or Possible
http://localhost/test.asp is possible from my own PC
Forwarded port 80 from my router to 10.0.0.6
Established IUSR_compname account with read/write access

Problem Now
When I access my site from IE using my dynamic IP http://262.x.x.x/index.asp, IE prompt me for home gateway user login and password.

Did I do something wrong or I have forgotten to set some settings. Can anyone please help me? Please.

Thanks a lot.

"home gatewy user login"? I don't know that one, but I suspect your problem is not in IIS itself.

Oh no. Can anyone else help me?

Would it be easier if my server is installed with Windows 2003?

If you can access your web from the web server computer, but not from other computers the problem is usually a firewall somewhere blocking traffic. If that's the case using a different web server probably won't make any difference.
