Question Problem in providing Read/Write access

Hi,
I have provided r/w access of a particular folder to user.
Though when he tries to access it through frontpage user
is prompted to enter login and password. User is providing his
normal login id and password. However it is giving the error
access denied. Which login and password is required for this.
Please can anybody help me on this.

Can you post some more details? Is your user using frontpage or a web browser?

IIS (the web server) will operate in a local user account normally IUSR_computername, and will impersonate a logged in user when a user provides a username and password.
