I have a very basic web site, that was built using MSFP,
and i've inserted an inline frame to the folder that I want people to post to.. and the page is all setup, but ONLY the admins can send files.. I've tried setting up an ID that only has USER privilege and gave that folder that group write access... WHAT AM I MISSING HERE>??? Thank you in advance.... |

What version of IIS are you using? Typically IIS operates under the user account of an authenticated user, or in the Internet Guest account IUSR_computername. The IIS administrator may select a different account for the Internet Guest account in the IIS configuration.
So in answer to your question, you are missing granting write permissions to the proper user(s).

Well i am using Server 2k3, so im not sure what version of IIS it is.
I gave that guest account read/write/execute.. and when ANY user other than the administrator tries to upload a file, it just bounces back for a ID and password with no errors, like the user name isnt there. Also I do have anon access enabled.... (by default) |
