read and write to a TXT file
I am having troubles in trying to read and write to a TXT file.
The browser, just sits there with "opening page...." for a very long time..... I have IIS 5.1 installed, on Windows XP. I can add, edit and delete from a database I have running on IIS, but not a simple text file? This line seems to be the error: Quote:
But when I commented this line out, the ASP script ran instantly (but got a error because of obvious reasons) Do I have permissions setup wrong, and if so, is there a way to correct it?

Often this symptom is caused by an antivirus script blocking program running on your computer.

if you have Norton Anti Virus installed, right click its icon in the task bar, choose Configure AntiVirus, go to Script Blocking section, and uncheck the checkbox saying "Enable Script Blocking". confirm, restart your server and all should work fine.
