Thanks for that but unfortunately this is not the same problem. The DTC service is working ok (although it was stopped) I restarted it but it did not fix this problem. Win2k uses DTCsetup.exe but XP uses msdtc.exe. The thread you mentioned indicates a metadata issue. This is a class issue so I am guessing some dll or jar has not been registered or is missing. Any other ideas. |

OK, I followed the instructions as they suggested even though it was for Win2K and I am on XP
1). I had no global asa file in my Web root directory
2) I stopped and started IIS webservice and managed to browse Component Services with MMC
3) When I ran C:\Inetpub\adminscripts>cscript synciwam.vbs. I got this
Microsoft (R) Windows Script Host Version 5.6
Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation 1996-2001. All rights reserved. Error: 1AD: ActiveX component can't create object
4) Running Filemon for the test.asp file gives a SUCCESS status code not FAILURE, although I see nothing apart from the error message on the screen
5) I dont have error 10010 in my event log
6) Ran specified commands then an IISReset. Made no difference
Any other ideas
TIA |
