It seems my progress in trying to use IIS is going bakwards.
The server is not working properly. I have created a Default.htm Using either http:localhost or http:localhost/Default.htm won't serve up this basic html page. I am getting the following error: Server Error The following error occurred: Bad URL Please conntact your administrator The account I am using has admin rights. Any detailed help would be greatly appreciated. |

You are trying to access the page from the console of the web server?
If yes, I don't know what would be wrong other than a bad install of IIS. |

Solution?
I was getting this error too. Try this. In IE, goto Tools, Internet Options. On the Connections tab, click the "LAN Settings" button and DEselect the "Automatically detect settings" checkbox. Click Ok. Close all copies of IE, then try again.
