User Problem with IIS
Im very new to IIS, Im using it on Windows XP Pro, im getting 2 problems with it.
1. Half the time I try to access the pages, it says "Page Cannot Be displayed" "Too Many Users Connected" Now that should not be the case as im the only one who knows the address to the pages... is there anything i can do about this? Increase the users? I dont know... 2. HTML Pages work fine (apart from when problem 1 happens) but most of the time, I cant access aspx files.. If i restart the IIS then I can access them a couple of times, but then it stops again! it seems silly to keep resetting it every time I have viewed the pages 2 or 3 times... If anyone can help with these Problems that would be great! Thanks James |

Make sure your XP is fully updated from windows update.
Make sure your .NET framework is up to date. IIS on XP has a limit of 10 connections. If you are testing by opening pages and closing your browser rapidly you may be exceeding the connection limit until some of your previous sessions time out. You might have asp code problems causing your aspx files to hang up. Errors in an Access DB connection can cause this kind of situation in some cases. |
