Using XP Pro and 5.1 localhost not working
I've set up IIS 5.1 on my XP Pro but when I browse to URL I get the HTTP 500 error.
However when I browse to URL I get the page. I've checked in the properties/documents section of IIS and index.htm is in there so whats up? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Try adding another default document like default.htm, add a page by that name & see if it works.
It seems to me there is a setting somewhere that can prevent default document pages from opening but I could be mis-remembering ![]() |
