When to disable .cer/cdx/.asa extensions
URL Hi,
I'm new to ASP...I may not be asking this question in the correct place... I have a server (W2k server, sp4, w/IIS 5) that I had some problems with after running the IIS lockdown tool. I figured out that the tool mapped the .asp/.asa/.cer/.cdx extensions to the 404.dll file so I corrected the .asp script mapping to point to the asp.dll file and now ASP pages work. My question is: In what situations would I want to re-map the other three (.asa/.cdx/.cer) extensions to the asp.dll file? Thanks for your help... Dano |

.asa is used by global.asa, which is a file you're likely to use in an ASP app. I'm not sure what the other two extensions are used for.
