I have been trying to install 2003 .NET onto my Win2k Pro box. It says I must first configure my server extension but when go to my IIS ...so ALL TASKS ...CONFIGURE SERVER EXTENSION....AND FINISH. I keep getting this error "Unable to read configuration for Microsoft Internet Information Server"
Can anyone help? |

Make sure you're a local admin user when you do this.
Does your IIS work? W2K IIS installs FPSE by default as I remember. |

Yes my IIS is working, and FPSE are installed, but for some reason I keep getting that error.

I installed the NET framework via windows update on my W2000 Pro box without any problems. Are you trying to install VS.NET or something? Perhaps a newer version of the FPSE are required for other software, but I think the NET framework should install properly.
