WWW-Publishing returns error 1721
Hi *,
I am unable to run the WWW-publishing and smtp service of IIS 5.1 on my Xp Pro. It always returns with error 1721 "not enough resources". There are some workarounds to this problem on the internet but nothing worked out ![]() I heard about problems when ppl installed IIS afterwards but I'm trying to fix this szupid problem for 2 days now. I'm frustrated. Any help? Thanks so much! Steve P.S. McAfee Personal firewall is running, no HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Rpc\Internet key in my registry |

The obvious work-around is to provide enough resources. Do you have enough memory in your computer, for example?
When do you get this error? Immediately? After some number of pages have been viewed? I have no idea why you mentioned something about a registry key. Try turning off your firewall, antivirus script blocking, etc. Verify that you are the local computer administrator user when you install IIS. Oh, and workstation versions of IIS are restricted to 10 concurrent users. If you're trying to run a public website on XP Pro you should get a server version of windows instead.
