Convert char to DateTime

All,

I must convert a char to a datetime. What function do I have to use ?
Code :
declare @Date datetime
declare @StartHour char(100)
select @Date = ShiftDate from inserted

set @StartHour = rtrim(convert(char(2),DATEPART(dd, @Date))) + '-' + rtrim(convert(char(4),DATEPART(month, @Date))) + '-' + convert(char(4),DATEPART(year, @Date)) + ' ' + rtrim(convert(char(2),@Hour)) + ':00:00'

declare @Team int
select @Team = id_teamPlan from dbo.tbl_TeamPlanning where DateFrom = @StartHour

The DateFrom column is a DateTime definition.

Just use the Cast function
