Easy one for you (Maybe)!?!

I am a fairly advanced Access user and thought it was about time to start playing around with MSDE. I have come across a little problem, which I’m sure will be so obvious, but I have hunted high and low and can not find the answer…

The problem is, in North Wind demo of Microsoft’s, when creating or editing a View all the field names are listed below each table.

But in a test database that I created myself (Using Import and Export Data to import an Access db) the only thing I get is the *(All Columns) option and none of the fields listed.

What do I need to change to show all the fields?

Any help much appreciated...

I saw that to when connecting to Oracle and it turned out to be driver related. When I choose Oralce's driver I had no ability to choose columns in the query builder. It could see the tables all right but it had no ability to allow me to use them for building queries. I would drop a table into a query and it would say "SELECT * FROM [table]" NO NO NO! Not what i wanted! I then recreated my connection using Microsoft's Oracle driver and the connection was perfect, tables had columns, query builder allowed me to select them. Try recreating your connection to the database you are using. Make sure you are using the right driver!
