Unhappy help....can't even install SQL server in XP!

Hi all, please any kind hearted expert advise me of how to solve this problem...

I tried to install SQL server 2000 on my window XP ...during the services accounts
i checked on the "use a domain user account" and keyed in my Window administrator account
Username and password but the SQL server installation gave me this error .......

" The logon account cannot be validated for the SQL server service. Verify that the user name
and password entered are correct. The logon attempt failed."

I wish to use the windows logon account for the SQL service account in this installation for better
tracking and loggin activity.. and other services such as mail..etc.

regards
dummy

You cannot install SQL Server Enterprise, or Standard Edition on Windows XP. You can however install SQL Developer Edition, and SQL Evaluation edition.

Here is a link to Microsoft SQL Server 2000 requirements.
