Its a doubt
I say stored procedures in SQL server is a concept equivalent to PL/SQL in Oracle. My friend opposes it. Please help me to know which is true.

I concur
Both Server systems incorporate Stored Procs, but that's not PL/SQL is.
PL/SQL is actually Oracle's "flavor" of SQL, with proprietary extensions that they implement on their database servers. In MS SQL Server, your equivalent would be T-SQL, which has it's own extensions/changes to the SQL language. (I know, that's redundant, because expanding the acronym means "Structured Query Language Language". Whatever.) |
