MS SQL Installation
Hello everyone. I'm new to MS SQL, I have worked with some DB software before but I'm having trouble with MS SQL installation.
I work at a small company and I have decided to start working on Database for a Maintenance Log. I have set up a win2k server machine on a T1. I install MS SQL without a problem, but after about an hour or so my entire network loses internet access. When I shutdown this machine net access is restored. Am I ping flooding my connection? Can someone help me out. Caraldur |

woah, that's wierd. My initial thoughts would be what service pack are you running. The Slammer was bad but i don't think it was that bad.....
there might be other variants or even other worms for that matter, i'd check out updating with the most recent pack if you could. "Can i really get infected that fast?" "Yes, you probably will be infected by the time you typed out that last message" |

also, does your company run a firewall? Check it's logs and see if there are specific ports or something with unusual activity, that will tip off a worm usually too...
