NOTE: this is impossible. If you don't set your page up to be an ASP page the server will NOT interpret the code if that's the issue you're having...

If you're using ODBC do this
PHP Code:
<a href="test.asp">text</a>
<%
dim strSQLrs
Set con
server.createobject ("ADODB.Connection")
con.Open "odbc","lgoin","password"
strSQL "select * from actors"
set rs con.Execute (strSQL)

response.write "<select>"
while not rs.EOF
    response
.write "<option>" RS("actor") & "</option><br>"

rs.MoveNext
Wend
response
.write "</select>"
rs.Close

con
.close
%>

there's plenty of tutorials online if you need DSN. The con.execute(string) is the only line you need to change. YOu can just make a string with your select statement or insert. If you don't know how to formulate SQL statements i recommend you invest some time into how they work with tutorials online. Let me know if you have any problems.
