SQL Mail
The SQL Mail can only work with Ms Exchange Server ?
Can it just work with Ms Outlook alone ? And how the configuration and setting like ? |

SQL mail doen't have to only be in use with Exchagne, but I do believe that it have to work in conjuction with a mail server (I have it working with MDameon with no problems.

I want to use Ms Outlook XP with Windows XP but i can't find any article or forum explaining the step by step configuration.
Anyone know any good links ? Thank you. |

As far as I am aware Outlook Doesn't have any Mail Server functions.
You connect Sql Mail to any Mail server through pretty much the same way any other mail server, the difference being that you are not connecting directly to EXCHANGE but connect to the mail server like you would any email software prgoram (like outlook) I do have outlook on the server (acting like any other email software) so I can monitor the email message that SQL mail is sending out. You must connect to a mail server to get your personnal/business email. Setup you SQL Mail to that email server. S- |
