New to SQL Server.......
I read somewhere else about ASP developers looking to use Windows Authentication other than SQL server authentication. Is this possible, and also worthwhile, with Internet sites? Would giving the IUSR user admin access through Windows Authentication cause even more problems? Is it even worth while when you have assigned a strong sa password and have a firewall in place and also hidden the server. Any views would be great! |

It depends on the rights you have given to that account, if they have dbowner rights, then a user could use sql injection to delete all of the data in the database.
Fact: No matter how secure you think your system or network is...someone can get into it. |
