There is no True/False data type in sql server.
Your best bet would be to use the bit data type, which takes only 1 (true) and 0 (false)

How would you do this? i have a section of my sql query that should select a set of values that come from a yes/no field in an access database if the value is true or null.

the code i have is:

Code:

if ISNULL(orseof("Returned")) OR orseof("Returned") = True then

but this doesn't seem to work. I know its the true bit but how would this be changed?

Thanks

There are two ways, if its being returned by an HTML form, in the <checkbox> tag you can have a value field:

<Checkbox value="1">, and have your field of type bit with a default value of 0 (zero) so when you have a null returned, you just omit it in the insert/update statement.

The otherway of doing it is to create a funtion that turns a true into a 1 and a null into a zero, a VBScript funtion may look something like this

function turnBinary(beta)
if beta = true then
turnBinary=1
else 'assume anyother value that 1 is false
turnBinary=0
end if

HTH
