Windows 2003 : SQL Server 2000 Install Does not Start
Greetings,
This is my first post please be kind, I am trying to install SQL server 2000 on Windows Server 2003 Web Edition. I read that SQL Server 2000 SP3/SP3a is needed, But the problem I am facing is the installtion does not even start. If I try to run this \x86\setup\setupsql.exe I get this message "Windows cannot open this progrm since it has been disabled" What should I do ? Please Advise, Dennis. |

Do you have licensed copies of everything. Also, I think you need at least Windows 2003 Small Business Edition before it'll install SQL 2000. The Web Edition is mainly for front end .NET developers and IIS. IIRC, you can get an enhanced package with Small Business Edition that comes with SQL Server 2000 and ISA Server 2000.
