Fireworks question

I hope I am in the right place posting this question. I have a question relating to Fireworks. I created an image, included some hotspots and pop-ups, saved as htm and exported to a folder(I also made adjustments with Setting HTML export file such as HTML Style,etc..) before exporting. Then I moved to my server, when I tried browsing that page, I couldn't see the image but from my desktop, i am able to view it. How does this works? If I modify the code, can I open the file in Frontpage and modify? Since I am creating the image in Macromedia Fireworks, will it work well with Frontpage? Please someone give some insight on this. thanks.

Fireworks exported files can be edited in any WYSIWYG HTML editor. However, they are designed to be properly manipulated using Dreamweaver. The problem with your images is probably that the images are referencing files in a different folder and have basically lost track of where they are

If I've posted some code above, you might think it looks a bit simplistic. It might be. I'd rather people tried the next step themselves rather than getting a full solution on a plate. That way they learn more!

Please give me some basic instructions. Should the file before exporting should be saved first and then exported? While exporting, what are the files I have to look for to export because I am exporting only as .htm, so will other files such as hotspot/slice, images etc., come along with the export? I am very new in this and just learning, please need some instructions.
