Variable bit rate MP3 problems with flash player
Hi,
I've got a site which uses a flash mp3 player. I'm really pleased with the player, but because it's Flash based it has a real problem with Variable Bit Rate mp3's. The site is based around users uploading their mp3's so ideally I'd like to be able to deal with the problem by reencoding the mp3's to a fixed bit rate automatically. Does anyone know if this is possible and how i might go about this? Or any alternative solutions to the problem? Surely this is a common problem, does anyone have any suggestions for other solutions? Id rather not change my mp3 player as it's really good in every other respect and allowas me to have playlists/display images with songs etc but i would consider changing it if there was a better alternative.
Any help much appreciated.
Soups.
