Asp.net Receiving Email Help

Hi

I am trying to develop a system which received emails and then scans through the information and updates information on the database based on the informtion.

But I cannot find any information on what i need to do this or how to achieve is, can anyone give me some advice on what to look for or links to articles (all i can find is asp.net how to send emails)

I am sure support ticket systems do this, so any advice would be appriciated.

Thanks in advance.
