ASP.Net/VB.Net - Dynamically Creating Table

Is it possible when creating a table dynamically to create a tbody tag?

I have looked but so far it seems this isn't possible unless I want to use literal controls.

I'm asking because I want to be able to hide/show rows without having to loop through all the rows of the table.

Thanks.

I guess I a bit confused. You what to hide/show rows without looping through the rows, but how are you doing this without making that decision for each row -- and thus a loop?

Also, you're creating an HTML table here? What are you using the table for -- there may be other/better ASP controls for your are trying to do. I

Well, if I have an HTML table with a tbody tag, I can just hide the rows in the tbody by setting the display property of the tbody tag. That way I don't have to loop through all the rows of the table.

I'm using the tables for a report. I have one query that will create several different tables. Each table needs a header row, detail rows, and a footer row for the totals.

OK, I'm guessing you want to do this on the client side with a javascript? You could put the table into a <div> and then hide the div, I believe.
