The important thing is not to get overwhelmed & discouraged. I do NOT recommend "Instant ASP Scripts" by Buczek - huge book with very few answers.

GOOD LUCK!
------------
Dano at 1/11/2001 3:09:04 AM

Hi,

I want to learn a server-side language and I decided on ASP. I mainly want to build dynamic(news, polls, forums)and personalized web pages.

I have a few questions:

1. Do I start with ASP or ASP.NET?
(There seems to be a lot more support, examples and web sites for
ASP, but ASP.NET seems easier to program and is the emerging standard)

2. What language should I learn(C#,VB,J-Script)?
( I don't know any now, so I have no preference)

3. What is a good beginner book on ASP/ASP.NET?

Any help would be appreciated?
