Opening an ASP attachment in email

Nothing I have on my system seems to be able to open these files, so I do not know what they could be, text, graphics, music, or what have you. Nor can I find any kind of reader by searching the internet for "ASP file reader". I get all kinds of links, but none of them seem to take me to anything useful. Everything seems to want to make me an expert in coding, building web pages and the like which I am not interested in. I have tried Adobe Acrobat, Internet explorer, and all the notmal stuff that comes with windows or windows office.<br />
