Router IP vs Web Server IP for Hosting ASP.Net

Originally posted by : Doug Hagerman (DougH@Usbs-Panels.com)

I have a router (link sys) that divides the internet to my Network at home (although it is configured the same way a business network would be with a Server). The router has the external IP. The Server is auto configured as far as IP addresses.

Is there anyway to get to the IP address of the server (which is a local IP on the Network Autoconfigured) by somehow mapping the external IP of the Router and then getting to the IP (local) of the server.

My ISP has changed to rotating IP addresses every 24 hours (which I could be notified by email with a simple routine) so I can have static IP's.

For Example can you go -->>217.245.2.252/192.168.1.103 being Router/Server respectively?

If I could then I would have the IP equivalent of the www.mySite.com at least for a 24 hour period after which I would find the new one.

If anyone could give me some insight on this then I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Doug
