Hi Viewers'
I'm facing very difficulties to solve this problem. I've to show a word document in the web page as a control. Is it possible to show a word document in the web page using any activex component in .net? So user can save a word doucment into my server. as far as I know, such thing does not exist.
best you can do is let your users download the document and later upload the new version. |

this website is using fancy activeX component written by third
party company. in order to use it and access the document, users will have to install that component. it got nothing to do with .NET - feel free to purchase the component from EDrawSoft and it will work for those users who have IE browser and that will install it on their computer. if you're asking how that component was written then the answer is not with .NET - as far as I remember, it can be written with C++ or VB. You could also try Free Text Box rich text editor.
The Pro version features most of what you'd see in Word, although you do have to pay for a licence. The Free version doesn't offer as much, but there's still quite a lot. It is specifically for .NET and also includes a Javascript API. I use it on my site. Hope that helps.
