Wanted - 1-2 VERY STRONG VB.NET 2.0 developers

Hi gang,

I am looking to bring on 1-2 contract employees (2-10 week duration) to help me on a project. I am a TOTAL hard-*** about people's skills, though, so please be sure you are comfortable with the following technologies before contacting me:

VERY STRONG OO skills. Please do not submit if you learned OO from VB, cuz it ain't. I need a Java, C++ and/or Smalltalk developer who truly gets OO, first and foremost.

We are running VB.NET 2.0 over SQL Server 2K5 with 3 proprietary architectures providing most n-Tier services. Candidates need to be very familiar with ASP AJAX, and with the perils and pitfalls associated with multiply-nested user controls in a non-standard presentation layer.

I need someone who has demonstrable experience in autonomous development of complete discreet sub-systems, as you will get a quick crash course in the existing code, architecture, strategy, business model/login, and then need to go off and build a vertical silo of functionality with as little assistance from me as possible. Not that I won't help, I just need someone who can do the job without relying on me too heavily.

SQL Server 2K5 has several known issue (bugs, etc.) that it would be nice if you were aware of and had strategies to work around, but this is not crucial.

The gig is in Burbank, CA at a VERY cool entertainment-industry marketing firm. Fun project, killer environment, and... hey, me for a boss!

If you think you measure up to the description and are available immediately, send me a note either here or to c dot burns at cannery dot com. We need to find these people ASAP.

Cheers,

Chris
