Project Description :

Our client is seeking a candidate to join their team of .NET/Sharepoint developers to design, develop and deploy web based solutions to their customers. The core profile that they are seeking is a candidate with a strong background developing web or windows based object oriented applications leveraging the .NET framework. An understanding of Sharepoint architecture or experience implementing Sharepoint SPS or WSS, is highly sought but not needed. Candidates will also work onsite with clients in requirement analysis of Sharepoint Portal solutions. Most engagements will require some combination of development using Visual Studio, SQL Reporting Services, SQL Server and Infopath.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

* Develop web based solutions and/or web parts as required
* Analyze Requirements, Architect Solutions, Implement and test final products
* Consult with clients to ascertain and define needs or problem areas, and determine the scope of investigation required to architect and develop a solution.
* Define requirements for improving or replacing systems including Portal, Intranet and Custom Applications
* Advise client on alternate methods of solving needs, or recommend specific solutions.
* Present findings, recommendations, and specifications in formal written reports and/or oral presentations.
* Document results and outcome of solution

Team: 80%
Individual: 20%
Work Week: 40 hrs

Experience Needed to Succeed:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Minimum Requirements
* Proven development experience using ASP.NET, Microsoft .NET Framework, XML Web Services, C# and/or VB.NET
* Experience with database Microsoft SQL Server 2000, T-SQL experience a plus
* HTML, Javascript, XML, XSLT experience desired
* Have general knowledge of one of the following development methodology: Object Oriented Development, Component Based Development, eXtreme Programming, Patterns, Design for reuse

Preferred Requirements
* Experience using or architecting solutions using Microsoft Sharepoint Portal Server or Windows Sharepoint Services, understanding of Sharepoint architecture is a plus
* Microsoft Certification, MCAD, or MCSD .NET
* Experience with .NET Framework 2.0
* Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Visio

Education/Experience:
B.S, B.A. College Degree; two to four years related experience and/or training;

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the business community. Ability to write presentations that conform to prescribed style and format.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
