<b> Job Description:</b>

As a Senior developer you will work on the development of an end-to-end system for managing electronic data discovery. The system is designed to manage the indexing and conversion of electronic documents to a common image format. Following conversion it automates the printing of those documents to paper, or exports them into a common format for future delivery on a distributable media. The project is in the development phase of the SDLC and consists of a set of client applications written in .NET (both C# and VB) with SQL Server on the backend that perform the required tasks. The next version will move to service based clustering model that will allow for more data to be processed concurrently. Candidates should be familiar with working in an Agile development environment with tight deadlines and automated weekly builds.


What you will do:

As a senior developer you will function as a team member of the technical staff developing web and winform .NET applications. These projects will be developed concurrently and during development you will create new tools and applications that will integrate into existing client systems. The projects will center around the development of business management and workflow automation systems written in ASP.NET with SQL server on the backend. The ideal candidate should be innovative and passionate about how to utilize modern and emerging Microsoft technologies to solve real world client problems and project requirements.

<b>Work Environment:</b>

The team consists of 3 developers (1 Senior, 2 Junior/Midlevel). Development is done in a team based environment where interaction and mixing of ideas is encouraged but you will be tasked with developing your projects individually. The percentages are: 75% individual and 25% team. You will report directly to the Director of Projects and Chief Software Engineer. A majority of your time will be spent at the home office but some client side time may be required for various reasons. The percentages are: 10% client side with 90% time spent internally.

Performance:

As a Senior Developer your performance will be measured through code reviews and interaction with the Chief Software Engineer. Your career with the company will be reviewed at set intervals and from a Senior developer your career path is a promotion to a Team Lead Programmer on a small project and with more exposure the projects assigned to you will get progressively larger and more difficult. A long term technical challenge to keep in mind will be the integration of upcoming Vista technologies into their development projects.

<b>Key Experience Needed to Succeed:</b>

To succeed candidates should have experience in the following:
" 6+ years of overall development experience with a strong background in object oriented development methodologies
" 3+ years of development experience in .NET project engagements utilizing VB.NET or C# on a web or winform application with SQL Server on the backend.
* Experience with COM, ActiveX, thread management, and distributed processing
" A minimum of one project engagement where you interacted and spent time at the client site
" Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field

At a minimum every candidate must posses the following:
" Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
" U.S. Citizenship with an ability to obtain a clearance
" A passion for technology and a proven ability to ramp up quickly on projects.
