Career Opportunity in Mauritius – Systems Administrator

We have few opportunities for (Sr.) Systems Administrator in a Software Development Company. All positions are based in Mauritius.

Job requirements are as follows:

Responsibilities
• Participate in a team of systems engineers to collaboratively define and manage information system architectures, effectively using best practice methodologies, standards and procedures to support operations.
• Implement, manage and maintain system services and security within a mission-critical environment.
• Investigate and recommend improvements to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of all implemented systems.
• Adapt technology in line with the changes in commercial and developmental requirements of the company.
• Implement systems and storage solutions to ensure business continuity and data security.
• Define and implement systems in accordance with PCI compliance.

Experience
• 5+ years experience with any combination of the following technologies in a mission-critical environment.
• Preferred certifications: Linux (LPI-3/RHCE/RHCSS), Checkpoint, Cisco Routing and Security .
• Servers: Solaris 10, Red Hat Linux (including RPM based variants), Windows, Coldfusion, Apache and Tomcat.
• Desktops: Windows, Linux, MacOS.
• Web Systems: LAMP and Web 2.0 Applications.
• Security Systems: Checkpoint or Cisco Pix.
• Oracle: Oracle Database 10g/11g, Oracle e-Business Suite R12, Oracle Apex 3.1, Oracle Designer 6, SQL Developer 1.5.

Domain Exposure
• Systems experience in software development, e-commerce, telecommunications and financial services preferred.
• Systems: Content Management, Server Clustering, Virtualisation, NAS and SAN, Network Security, Oracle, Project Management, Version Control and VoIP.
