First of all, I am planning to start a new classifieds website(clone of www.a2zyardsale.com).

To introduce myself, I am newcomer to this world of Web, Internet, Hosting and related etc.... and I am planning to start definitely ASAP.

I am not sure of which technology to choose... as definitely time and finance will dictate the technology I am going to choose.

#1.
Project: clone of www.a2zyardsale.com
Techology: J2EE, Servlet, JSP, Java, Frame work
BackEnd: Oracle

#2.
Project: clone of www.a2zyardsale.com
Techology: PHP
BackEnd: MySQL

#3.
Project: clone of www.a2zyardsale.com
Techology: .NET, ASP, COM
BackEnd: Oracle

I need info to evaluate on the following criteria:
-> Finance wise
-> Schedule wise
-> Maintenance wise
-> Security wise
-> Scalability wise
-> Tools availability wise
-> Hosting companies wise (because if there are many hosting companies then I can get better deals)
-> Monthly Hosting fee wise
-> Performance wise


I need professionals help to understand which one would be better to start with and later I can always move the best technology.

Here, my Friend and myself will review the Project at every stage for avoiding future displeasures.

Hi,
We can do it with either way
PHP/MYSQL - Cheap option as hosting stuff is cheap
ASP/.NET/SQL Server - Little costly than Linux as hosting costs more.

Price for development either way will remain same. Can take whole project with hosting or only development part. or as per your requirements. Also can do SEO stuffs.
