Thumbs up How many programmers?

How do I know how many programmers I would need to hire for an application or website I'd like developed? Typically, how is this decided?

there's no formula for this... it depends on factors like how complex the website
is going to be, how much content would be there, what is its target audience
and more. usually it's better to hire one programmer, or company, as having
more than one working on the same website would most likely cause conflicts
and problems later on.

Hello,

I agree and second what SHadow Wizard stated.

It depends on many factors like complexity, quality, quantity, target, skills requirements, etc

Hi,

Firstly, make sure you get the client requirements on the project at hand - make sure you have a thorough understanding of all the technologies and functionality required.

It is very important to plan the project, before getting started. Then determine the amount of man-hours needed to complete the project in. This accuracy of this figure will be highly depended on your project planning.

When you know how many hours the project will take, divide that amount by the total amount of hours available to complete the project. That will give you an indication of how many developers you will require to finish the project in time.

But try and keep the amount of developers working on the project as low as possible. Try to get developers that has a wide range of skills in their skillset.

Hope this helps!
J.
