Title: Mid-Senior Network Consultant
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 Location: DC Metro Type: Regular, Full-Time Perm Sr. Network Engineer / Administrator (M-F, 8:30a-5:30p) Our client is a Reston, VA network consulting firm actively seeking a permanent full-time Microsoft Senior Network Engineer / Administrator to provide IT support to clients in the DC Metropolitan area. This engineer will provide software and hardware computer consulting for business, association, non-profit and corporate clients. This position will require you to travel to different client locations throughout the metro Wash. DC area on a daily basis. This is a great position for an MCSE professional wanting regularly changing situations and challenges on a daily basis. The position requires great communication skills, both verbal (including strong telephone communication skills) and written, and a professional appearance. REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: " Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with Microsoft LANs " MCSE 2000 or greater " Recent hands-on experience with Windows server (2000, 2003, Exchange 5.5/2000/2003, Small Business Server) and workstation (95/98, ME, 2000, XP) environments is ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED " Must have proficiency with Active Directory, domain controllers, IP addressing, DNS, VPNs, and remote access. " Recent experience building and/or migrating/upgrading Windows Server, Exchange Servers, Citrix Metaframe, Windows Terminal Server, Firewalls (e.g. Watchguard, Sonicwall, Netscreen) is highly desired. " Ability to independently perform and/or manage, from start to finish, small to medium network projects such as network upgrades and network installs. Includes providing direction to other engineers who may be supporting the project.
