VB.NET Winforms Contractor (#18-22-MH313)

Pay Rate: $39 - $52 Per Hour
Position Type: Contract to Hire - 6 Months
Location: Washington, DC/Ballston, VA

Project Description:

Our client is seeking a candidate with experience developing windows applications using C# or VB .NET to work on the Liabilities portion of a four segment project. The Liabilities section is composed of actuarial assumptions and calculations related to pension valuations. The core calculation engine has just recently been ported from Fortran to VB.NET and the application is a strong OO based Winforms application developed in VB.NET. Candidates will work with one overall architect and one overall PM and each team has an assigned Internal Lead Developer. The Liabilities team currently consists of a requirements lead (SME), 2 developers, a QA lead, and a QA specialist.

Must Haves:

* U.S. Citizen Only
* 3+ years of overall Microsoft Development Experience
* 1+ years of .NET (C# or VB)
* 1+ years of VB
* 1+ years of WinForm/Windows Application Dev
* ADO.net
* OO design and dev
* High School Graduate
* Excellent Communication Skills

Nice to haves:

* MCP Certification
* Experience with Scrum
