apache2 ASP setup problems

Platform: Windows 2000 PRO
Installed: indigoperl, apache2, ASP
I have installed succesfully apache2 and mod_perl using the indigoperl install for PHP. I have not enabled PHP.
All seems ok and so installed the ASP using CPAN.
All seemed ok.
No reference was entered in the http.conf file, so I tried to enter manually but have failed to get it running.

Posible reasons:
Windows does not see the asp extension in file manager.
Not correct entry of code in http.conf.
Wrongly positioned code in http.conf.
Needed .DLL or other in windows system.

Can anyone help cure this or does anyone know of a full installation to get me where I want to be?
i.e. apache2::Mod_Perl::ASP for windows 2000 Pro
