DB table, 80 fields ... smart?

Hello everyone,

I've got this really large form and all the values have to be inserted to my lovely DB, but this will come down to a DB table with 80 fields. I'm not sure, but this seems like a bit to many fields or would you say its OK?

Thanks in advance,

Kaspar

If it doesn't violate Normalization rules and go ahead. I have a DB with several tables pushing 100+ fields. It works for that DB design.
