Rain Falls From Plains to Carolinas (AP)
AP - Rain and thunderstorms extended from Iowa and Missouri into the Carolinas and Florida on Tuesday. Scattered rain and mountain snow developed in the Pacific Northwest and parts of the West. It was mostly sunny elsewhere.
