Hey everyone,
A couple of days ago, I launched Programmer Meet Designer (URL ). It's a site for programmers to find designers (and vice versa!) and work together.

So what do you think of the idea, the site, and the design?

Thanks!

I think the site is very simplistic, maybe a little too much. As for the layout, i really dont like the amount of space that those google ads take up - perhaps allocate one, small area for them?
Lastly, you need to make better use of your font tags and h1's, h2's, etc. It was hard to distinguish between titles and content.
Other than that, good idea and plenty of room for improvement.
Cheers.

Thanks for the feedback.
As for the Google ads, well the money to pay for hosting and the site has to come from somewhere and it can't be from my pockets because they're empty =(.

And the h1 + h2's, I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Maybe it's your browser/OS configuration, I don't know. If you have time, I'd appreciate if you could show me a screenshot.

Thanks for your time!

When i say h1 and h2 tags, all that means is that text wrapped in
Code:
<h1>
and
Code:
<h2>
tags can be formatted as headings - even customised further with applying a little css magic. Usually default settings for these tags are larger, bolder fonts. Check it out for yourself to see what i mean.
Just to reiterate, i mean for all your article/section headings, use bolder/stronger fonts to show they are headings. Here is an example you can copy and paste into a new html doc :
Code:
<html>
<head><title>Headings</title></head>
<body>
<h1>This is the title of my article</h1>
This is the content.
</body>
</html>

Cheers.

Header tags also provide better SEO. Google (and other search engines) will look at header tags and give a lot more weight to them than they do to normal text.
