Hi
Over all the site is nice, layout is clear and navigation is easy. your link for support doesn't work, it brings up an error Your logo Wildhosting is to small I cannot work out what the squiggles are which is irratating, when there is plenty of room to make it bigger. Plus it doesn't scream web hosting, there is not one picture of a computer, a server, or even relevent picture of some discription. All you hosting links go to the same page, I hate that, I would liek a clear discription of just that package and if i want to compair allow be a link to the page you currently have. Your domain name registration is also not good, you have to got to another site to do it, then also there maybe problems with Ip address, if a customer registers on 123-reg they may have to pay additional fees to get the Ip address change from there to yours, I know easyspace charge and I think its an extra £15 not cheap considering most hosts sort it for you. Plus i can get all the names much cheaper at godaddy.com I know why you have come up with all the "wild" names for your packages but all said its a little un-professional, but good for a giggle, maybe put in a background image to reflect the name but take out the work, would look much better and more professional There is no FAQ, nore any help options, nor forums for newbies, people that want more info etc. ( this maybe on the support page) after past experiences i would also not purchase hosting from people without telephone support, or/and online chat help.(this maybe on the support page) Say if I wanted to add options, say 25 email address thats fine, but also what if I wanted 50? it wont let me do that, same with all the other functions. Plus if i wanted say three or four different options, I have to reload the page four times, which is ok but still a apin for me, but people on dial up may get a little upset and wonder if the rest of the site is going to be like that especially the control panel. One last thing, this is an ASP forum and you don't seem to offer ASP Hope that helps, sorry if its not what you wanted to hear, this is only an opinion, i just looked at it and it sounds harsh its not supposed to sorry. ![]()

Hey, Thanks very much for that. It is all very helpful.
To answer most of your comments, FAQ, contacts etc the support link will have this, i am currently installing sitepanel 3 for this purpose. I will ask my desinger to have a look at the logo, the squiggles are lizards!! Yes, i know what you mean about it not screaming web hosting!! I will lookinto it ![]() Thanks for the comment on individual hosing pages, i will give it some thought. I persoanlly quite like it as it is but that is me...anyone else got any thoughts on this... I chose 123-reg because you don't have to pay to change the nameservers. I know it is a pain to currently go to another site. They don't have to do it there, only if they want to manage it themselves. They can request a domain to be registered in the order process and we will register it for them. Again i personally like the wild names for the packages but i understand where you are coming from...anyone else got a comment on this...this is all why i asked cus i like things but it is important that the majority of people that see the site and like it that is important. Thats a good point about wanting to add more than one lot of email address etc...i will look into it, you can currently add additional packages once the package has been bought and you have access to the billing area. So it is kinda there ![]() Ok so i need to reduce the amount of time the page loads when ordering...something i will add to my to do list!!! Yes, at the moment i don't offer ASP hosting, and i asked on this forum because i didn't want to be seen as spamming!! In the future i do plan to offer asp hosting, one step at a time ![]() Thanks for all your comments, harsh is good as that is how things improve ![]() Anyone else got any comments? RF |

GoDaddy is the #1 registar, and you can probably get a good reseller account from them so your sell domains. They do offer .co.uk and other UK names, along with .com, .net and such. You should have a US page or US domain, like get .com or something and have your hosting in USD pricing, which isn't too hard to do, both PayPal and Google offer currency converters.

Okay, I aint gonna get into the guts of things about hosting companies offers and the like, I think the guys before me have generally covered the ground on this and RF has met or is
meeting these needs. So, then what we got left, ah yes the look and feel of the site. I'll give 10/10 for the name - WildHosting - its catchy and it sticks in the ol' mind. I like the gimmick theme and the colours match the mood, although the naming of the services are a bit churlish, what about Amazon, Safari, Outback... names with a bit more bite (if you'll pardon the pun) I do agree with Daveyboy that the lack of images is frightening... what's the old cliche - A picture is worth more than a thousand words - another thing I like to see on teckie sites is the font size reduced to give that modern feel, try something like 9px RF it'll work a treat and free up space for more images. All in all, it really does appeal to me, bit more work and thought - not too much mind - and you'll have yourselves a winner. All the best, Paul. |

Thanks for the comments yeah i really liked the name hence getting it ![]() I am thinking about the name thing, i can't decide to be honest. I like them the way they are, amazon, safari etc are cool but they don't really work for me!....maybe i should just use different animals...hmmm need to do some thinking on this one.. As for images yes that is already in process, my designer friend is going to sort something, we are just negotiating at the moment so that is coming ![]() the font size...9px was too small but i have changed it a little to 12px and that looks better i think ! Yeah constant work will be going into both the code and the features on the site itself. It is nearly ready for launch so i will launch and then continue improving whereever i can!! cheers for the comments, RF |
