Please review North South Media Ltd!

Okay here's the deal I have finally given up being an employee and became my own boss!

So, I have staked a few hours to throw together some HTML code and come up with this little site: North South Media

What I'm looking for:

• Genuine Feedback - does it deliver?
• Is the colour scheme OK?
• Is there anything I can add to emphasis the site?
• Is there anything that just looks so LAME?

Remember, my kids are depending on this to see them through University!

P.S. don't give any criticism for the blog - as I just uploaded it a few hours ago and have not had time to play around with it yet!

Very nice for only a few hours. Just 1 small thing that might make your site a little better.

*I noticed that the menu bar at the top changes for every page. (the gap)

Perhaps it's a zero because he just put it together? High ranking doesn't happen overnight, ya know?

So- everything relies on my PageRank then Michael?

Nothing to do with the fact that we have over 35 years between-us of experience in working in the print media environment - counts for nought when the PR is a big fat zero.

Edit: The gap is the scrollbar not appearing on some pages - dependent on your screen resolution this will happen I'll get it fixed - cheers for that.

Lol I do know that it's a new site and PageRank isn't everything, I'm just simulating a random guest's opionions.

well, you're right about that, although, not everyone has the Google Toolbar, for example, to tell them what rank the page is, nor do many average users know what it means. (*I know...who DOESN'T have the Google Toolbar )

Oh, BTW Paul...very nice site. Very good design and overall feel. I wish my design skills would develop a little better than they are, but I guess I'm just a programmer

Anywho, a couple of points I thought!!
1) I like the design, but I think the light blue background against the white looks a little flat. I think it just needs something to make the content stand out from the background. Something like http://uk.msn.com/. I think the border and the background fade on msn just lifts the middle content section off the background slightly. I think maybe just a border round the whole content area would work.

2) In your terms, this line didn't make sense to me
"Please note that under no circumstances will we accept returned goods out with 14 days of delivery or without prior notification. "

3) In your SEO Services page you have, under Keeping You in the Picture
"just about anything else we can stuff into it" That just sounds to me like you're going to put so much in it, I'm not going to want to bother reading it and that you don't want me to read it.

4) SEO Services page. Just a couple of typos under What's the Cost
"We like to consider ourselves within the affordable bracket - to be honest we get such a buzz when one of our previous customers refers our services that we know we are doing things the right way." Actually, I've noticed you use "ourselves" instead of "us" a few times in the site, but I think this maybe a bit of "Scottish speak", which is fine as you're a Scottish company.

I have implemented all design recommendations and your typo corrections ( ) and no I don;t think its pedantic but thorough observation.

Your little pictures at the bottom of the index page is soo sexy lol. Did you get them off the internet or did your artistic senses suddenly tingled?

I reworked some images that I got royalty-free off the Internet that badge(star) creation was mine from the off - if you think they are sexy then whatever floats your boat, Michael.
